I agree so much with this. American are just... hard and excessive- about everything: sex, relationships, consumerism, opinions, career-climbing, etc.

Not to mention how TIRED we are. I'm too tired to maintain friendships. People brag about not taking a vacation in years or sick days, etc. Coworkers who you think are your friends immediately disappear or become unresponsive as soon as you lose your job. You truly are disposable.

Loneliness can be its own terrible poverty.
