I read over 100 books in 2022

Here’s what I loved and hated

I’ve never read so many books in a year and I loved it. Will I try for 100+ again next year? I’m not going to TRY to read that many books again but if I do, awesome.

How’d I read so much?

  • Libraries
  • Kindle and Kindle app
  • Book lights of all kinds in various rooms: one in the bathroom for baths, one on the couch that sits on your shoulders, and one on my bedside.
  • Buying cheap books (Goodwill, Betterworldbooks, Pango, Ebay, etc).
  • Taking pride in my books: make them readily available around the house and display them.
  • Libro.fm and Audiobooks.com are better versions of Audible, just saying.
  • Hoopla and Libby are life-changing, seriously!
  • Enjoying podcasts, reviews, author interviews, book reading courses like on Catapult, and online discussions. Analyzing a book can make you appreciate what you’ve read so much more.

My key takeaways:

  • When writers say to read a lot, I used to be mildly annoyed because they were probably right but I was insecure I wasn’t reading enough. I have a better understanding as to why this advice is given. My writing has
